Massive. Strange. Iconic. These are just a few of the many superlatives belonging to ?America’s first National Park. With over 2.2 million acres of real estate, Yellowstone is enormous. It is an otherworldly place of varying textures and hues: technicolor hotspots of emerald green and Tahoe blue, pasty gray cauldrons of boiling mud, bleached-white terraces of sulfuric springs, and a canyon made of golden rock. Due to its convenient location above an active supervolcano, the Yellowstone Caldera, the park possesses over 10,000 geothermal features within its boundaries. Perhaps most famous of these are the geysers, such as the world-famous Old Faithful. Named for its dependability to put on a show, the spouting Old Faithful is a scene captured in this timeless, early 20th-centry style illustration by Anderson Design Group. With an unwavering commitment to classic illustration and to America’s greatest natural treasures, Anderson Design Group has created a master poster series of all 59 National Parks.
